Mike is a lifelong resident of the Washington DC area, and resides on a farm near the Chesapeake Bay south of Annapolis. He is passionate about photography and loves meeting new clients, or as he prefers to call them; future friends! The photography experience is not a one time meeting in his eyes, but the begining of a long term relationship that will bring you joy and preserve your most precious memories. Mike sees the beauty in everyone, and his years of fashion photography experience give him the ability to bring it into the light!
He enjoys competing in photographic competitions to keep him in touch with current trends and was awarded numerous awards for his images in 2007 including several Best of Show awards on a regional and International Level, was awarded the title of 2007 Portrait Photographer of the Year by the MD Professional Photographers Association, and he won a much coveted Fuji Masterpiece Award from Fujifilm USA for photographic excellence. He loves to give back to the community as well and has provided photo services to The Leukemia Lymphoma Society for Light the Night 2008, and staged two large cancer survivor portrait exhibitions in the DC region last year.
His work has been published in many publications including Professional Photographer Magazine, I Do Magazine, Engaged! Magazine, Modern Bride, Maxim and FHM. Most importantly, Mike believes your photography experience should be fun!
Weddings are, by their very nature, a passionate moment in your life, and Mike is passionate about helping you capture all the special moments that make up your wedding day! To assure that every client gets the full attention they deserve on their wedding day, Mike accepts no more than 25 wedding commissions every year. Mike has photographed weddings in Annapolis, Washington, Baltimore, and all over Maryland and Virginia at locations as diverse as Antrim 1844 to the Chespeake Bay Foundation to the Willard Intercontenental and has been the photographer of choice for many intimate and grand weddings at private residences along the East Coast. He offers an extensive wedding pricing menu that will allow you to create your own dream wedding package, but he also offers complete packages from $3500 that include a wealth of coverage and products which range from professional prints and art pieces to hand crafted designer albums. Creative portraiture is Mike’s passion. He has won more national awards for portraiture than anyone in the state of Maryland for the past two years. Using both artistic composition and creative lighting techniques, Mike’s modern style of photography transforms life’s special moments into true works of art. From infants to children, couples to families, to cutting edge senior and fashion work, Mike has experience and knowledge that has made him one of the most sought after photographers in the region. Signature Sessions* - $295 weekdays and $395 weekends * In-studio viewing session of your images * Personal online slideshow gallery of your images for two weeks * Print credit of $75 will be applied to your order if placed within two weeks of your session Keepsake Sessions* - $895 weekdays and $995 weekends * Includes a Session Book with 20 of your favorite images from your session * In-studio viewing session of your images * Personal online slideshow gallery of your images for four weeks * Print credit of $150 will be applied to your order if placed within two weeks of your session *All sessions include the time and talent of the photographer only. Mike limits the number of weddings each year to 25 so its best to schedule a consultation as soon as you have chosen a date. Saturdays are obviously the busiest, but even Fridays can be booked well in advance in the favored months of June and October. If you are having a destination wedding, time is even more critical. You can reserve your date with a $1000 retainer that is refundable for 30 days. So call as soon as you can to allow yourself time to make the right decision without pressure. Portrait sessions are generally booked two weeks out for weekdays and around four weeks out for weekends. However if you are short on time, it always pays to call to see if there have been any cancellations. Because it Only Happens Once!
Please allow two weeks for delivery of your prints after your viewing session, and 3 weeks for any canvas pieces. Coffee table books are usually ready within 3 weeks of placing your order. Custom album production times vary by style, but typically expect delivery times of approximately 4-6 weeks following your approval of the final design.

An image viewing session will take place in our studio within 2 weeks of your photo session and within two weeks of your wedding. During this session which typically takes one hour, we will help you select your images and choose the sizes that will work best in your space. Try to come prepared with an idea of where you would like to hang your images and we will help you make the right decisions.
