Wedding photography blog sharing tips for planning your wedding

Sometimes the sun shines on a rainy day!

Gabrielle and David’s wedding this month at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club started out with a little dreary weather, but went off without a hitch! They both stayed at the Inn, where we did prep photos, and then headed over to the Club where the ladies finished their prep and we did a touching first look with Gabrielle’s father. They were married on the bright and airy upper level of the Sunset Ballroom and the rain was nothing but an afterthought during their gorgeous ceremony. As luck would have it, the rain stopped briefly and the sun made a perfectly timed appearance right at sunset. We literally ran outside to grab some pics in the few minutes of golden light and got some amazing stuff! Their reception in the Tavern Ballroom was both elegant and high energy!

Kelly and Tim's Fall Wedding at Herrington on the Bay

Kelly and Tim were married on October 6th at a beautiful wedding at Herrington on the Bay on a perfect fall day! Kelly, a veterinarian, decided that having their dog be part of the wedding ceremony was a no brainer. In a weird “small world” coincidence, I had done head shots several years earlier for the Doctors at the veterinary clinic where she worked. When she booked me for her wedding, she had no idea that we were the photographers who did her head shot previously. When I met Kelly, Tim, and their fur baby at Great Falls Park for their engagement photos and she mentioned where she worked, it all came together! Here are some of the album spreads we created from her photo selections
